Not only am I obsessed with the season Fall, but Fall Fashion is a huge passion of mine. I got my shopping addiction from my mother at an early age and as time goes on it continues to be a fun bonding time for us both. I think we go at least one a week whether we are looking for something specific or just need to get out of the house. Looking nice is something I take pride in, but I also adore my comfy clothes with a top knot on the weekend. I feel good when I look good, so It is important for me to have staple items in my closet that are also very versatile. Hopefully you will take away a few tips, and realize you don’t have to spend a ton to look and feel great! (I do apologize, the quality of my photos are not great, bad lighting and iPhone combo 😉 ).
Every girl needs leggings in her wardrobe. I seriously don’t spend a lot of money on these. I’m not hooked on the LulaRoe ones, I simply get mine from Target and Costco. Yup you heard me right – CostCo! Great price, high quality, and different patterns and colors which is awesome. Of course black is my go to though! This is my typical weekend wear. Top on the left is from Jane.com. If you have not heard of it check it out, amazing deals!
Ankle Booties/Shoes and Sweaters
Yup, absolutely love and adore ankle booties. Seriously where have these been all my life?! The cream and black colored ones you see below are from Target and Old Navy. I spent no more than $25.00 on them and wear them a few times a week. They look great with skinny jeans, dresses, and leggings! And who doesn’t want a beautiful pair of burgundy wedges in their closet. Those are from Express and I absolutely love them. I also am a huge fan of short sleeve and sleeveless sweaters. I feel suffocated when I wear big bulky ones, so these are nice as I just wear a basic long sleeve T underneath them. Found these sweaters at The Loft – another one my favorite stores! I usually roll my jeans once when I wear them with ankle booties.
I love plaid in the Fall. Something about it just makes me feel cozy! The button up plaid on the left is from Old Navy, you can honestly find these all over the place, but super cheap there. Jacket on the right is from Apricot Lane. PS. The Shoes/loafers I have on with the blue plaid top are BOB’s. I got them from famous footwear and they are to die for. I walked around the state fair for 8 hours in them and my feet didn’t hurt a bit! Highly Recommend (also pictured above in my pile of shoes).
I love throwing on a dress in the fall with high boots. It’s that in-between stage where you don’t quite want to whip out the tights/nylons but it is chilly. Throw on a dress and boots and you can be out the door in no time! I love throwing a cardigan over my sleeveless dresses or a jean jacket/blazer to keep me warm.
Every girl should have a couple nice blazers in their closet. They are so great for dressing up a simple outfit or if you are headed somewhere and it gets cooler at night it’s a nice take along and obviously a step up from a jean jacket. Plus, if you work in a business setting it is always nice to have some of these on hand. They look great with dressy tunic tanks and skinny dress pants! The orange top and Blazer are again from my favorite boutique, Apricot Lane. I love having unique items that not everyone has in their closet so I tend to go there for a lot of my wants. The orange top is obviously great with just jeans and no blazer over it on a warmer fall day. The black blazer is from Express and the tank top underneath is from Target. And of course, the burgundy wedges go great with skinny jeans in my opinion!
These are the staple items I must have that allow me to switch up my outfits and not break the bank. Happy Fall, enjoy the crisp weather this weekend and let me know if you ever need a shopping partner 🙂
